무어 인들이 이베리아를 침략 한 713 년 이후 실베스는 아랍계의 실브 (شلب) 라는 이름으로 코르도바 의 우마이야 에미리트 ( Umayyad Emirate)의 일부가되었다 . 10 세기에이 도시는 알 - 안달 루스 서부의 가장 중요한 도시 중 하나였습니다 .
