Pavurallakonda 또는 Pavurallabodu는 인도 의 Andhra Pradesh 주에서
Visakhapatnam 북쪽으로 약 25km 떨어진 Bheemunipatnam 근처
Narasimhaswamy Konda로 널리 알려진 언덕의 지역 이름입니다 .
평균 해발보다 약 150m 높이에 위치하고 있습니다.
Pavurallakonda는 언덕 꼭대기 불교 수도원으로 구성되어 있으며
기원전 3 세기부터 2 세기에 인간 거주를 했을 가능성이 크다.
그것은 북부 해안 안드라 지역의 가장 큰 불교 수도원 중 하나다.
히나야나 (Hinayana-소승) 불교가 이 언덕 정상에서 번성했을것으로 추정된다.
이 사이트의 초기 발굴은 많은 유물을 산출했다.
2 개의 브라흐미 레이블 비문,
비하라 (Viharas)의 원형,
원형의 무덤 (chaityas),
봉헌문 (votive stupas) , 홀 등이 폐허 사이에 있다.
안드라 프라데시 (Andhra Pradesh)의 국가 고고학과 (Department of Archeology Department) [1] 에 의해
동전, 광택 제품, 구슬 등이 그 장소에서 회수되었다 .
빗물 저장을 위해 언덕에 새겨져있는 거의 16 개의 바위 깎기용 물통이 있다.
발굴 및 복원 프로그램은 Pavurallakonda에서 진행 중이다.
Gosthani 강이 가까이 흐른다.
이 곳은 Bavikonda 와 Thotlakonda 와 같은 Visakhapatnam 지구에 있는 인근의 불교지역과 현대식입니다
인도문화예술유산협회( INTACH )는 유네스코에 의해 문화 유산으로 지정된
바비 콘다 , Thotlakonda , Pavurallakonda 및 Bojjannakonda 선언을 채택 함으로써
불교 유적지를보다 잘 보호 할 수 있도록 당국에 이미 호소했다 .
이것은 자금의 안정적인 흐름을 위한 길을 열 뿐만 아니라 고용 기회를 창출 할 것이다.
Pavurallakonda는 일반적으로 '비둘기의 언덕'( Telugu의 pavuralu 는 비둘기와 konda가 언덕을 의미)을 의미한다.
하지만 이 사이트에서 진행된 일부 연구에 따르면 Pavurallakonda는 흰색 돌로된 hillock ( pavurallu는 흰 돌)을 의미한다.
